The Many Moods of Mr. Mythic....

If only we had a fine communication device to figure out just what he was thinking.... however, I am quite sure we can decipher the last expression as saying "Hey, got anything to eat?"

Going for a walk...

Doesn't he look excited?

Rainy morning....

G and I (mom!) have spent the morning walking about in the rain...Don't worry you grandparents, he has a fine rain cover and I was the only one to get soaked. It is, after all, november in Portland!  We took some fine pix, too, when we were all snug and warm back home.

captain fussy pants...

G has decided the last few days that he doesn't want to do much beside be held, eat, and/or cry, this is particularly fun at 2:00, or 3:00, or 4:00, when he decides he will only sleep in your arms...
There were a few moments of calm...apparently guitar does it for a little while...the calm is particularly interesting, in that there is zero transition to unhappy, we go from calm, snoozy baby, to screaming mad man full of stiff limbs, and red face in a split second...

One Month Ago...

While M may not have been ultra stoked to have me taking pictures of her while she was having a contraction in the "in process" baby room, I still love looking at this picture of her, seeing just how tough she is... This is from exactly one month ago, roughly 18 hours before G was born. Yes, in case you didn't know, M was in labour for 25 hours, no pain meds, no drugs...she is a rockstar...and clearly stronger than I will ever be...

those blocks...

While the blocks on the previous post might be awesome...The work by this Japanese artist [Take-G] is a whole other level...This is also where toys meet fine art prices. I think this might be Dad, more than G having a moment of toy lust...

While I can appreciate that this might not be everyone's cup of tea, if you're the parent of one of our nieces or nephews, and think your child may like these, and you would enjoy explaining the periodic table to an infant/toddler, by all means, let us know, and some of our christmas shopping will be that much easier...

Sweet Bald Patch...

Poor little guy, not even a month old, and he's already balding...

Bath Time!

We all agree that bathtime is good...he likes it a lot, it chills him out...we like it when he is chilled out...especially when it is right before bed time...

First Days Home

These are a few shots that should have been up weeks ago...probably taken during our first days home with a fresh new human...

First Post!

Greetings, the little dude has been with us about a month now, and we have been beyond negligent in emailing pictures, sending thank you notes and keeping folks informed. Please accept our apologies, as most of you are already well aware, keeping someone at a relatively peaceful state, when they have no means of communicating beyond facial expressions and crying, takes a fair amount of monitoring...

Mrs Mythic and I created this as a way to keep interested family and friends updated with what's happening in the life of our little wild animal, current pictures, and as long as dad is posting, this will also be an interesting place to witness an unholy butchering of the english language...
